Happily Employed News #1: No team. No funding. Just me, a domain name, and a fire in my chest.

Happily Employed

About three weeks ago, I started Happily Employed.

Not with a budget. Not with a roadmap.
Just one question: what if job seekers shared the jobs they come across but don’t apply for - so someone else gets a chance?

Since then:

  • I built the first version using no-code tools and duct tape. (Finally figured out how to convert rich text to HTML—so new job posts are looking a lot cleaner now.)

  • I’ve been curating jobs manually - every day. No ghost roles. No commission-only “marketing” scams. No AI-written junk.

  • I launched an early version of a Featured Candidates section - to showcase real people, not just bullet points. It’s a work in progress, but it’s live.

  • I started documenting everything - so one day, others can help without needing to read my mind.

Behind the scenes:

  • I’ve reached out to potential partners: HR tech tools, community orgs.

  • I started shaping a certification model for ethical employers (think B Corp, but for hiring practices).

  • I chased unpaid invoices from old clients just to cover basic costs.

  • I’ve had moments of doubt. A lot of them.

But every time someone writes, “Thank you” or “This gives me hope,” - I keep going.

This isn’t just a job board. It’s a quiet rebellion.
Against broken hiring systems.
Against job search burnout.
And against the lie that you need to be “perfect” to be seen.

If you’re reading this, thank you. For showing up. For sharing. For believing in something scrappy but real.

More to come.
More to build.
And always - more real jobs.
